Terms
The rules for using Fairsay. Making an account, posting a review or listing a product means you agree to them.

What Fairsay is
Fairsay lets anyone review an app or website, and lets the people who make it verify their product, reply in public and show their reviews on their own site. How we handle your information is on the privacy page, and what's allowed in reviews and replies is in the review guidelines. Both are part of these terms.
Your account
- You need to be 13 or older.
- Use your own name, or one you're known by, and an email you can get to. One person, one account.
- Keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what's done with your account.
Reviews
Review only what you've used yourself, and follow the review guidelines. You can't review a product you own, or vote on your own review. These terms also cover anyone who reviews without an account, on a product's page or through the widget on its website.
What you post stays yours
You own your reviews and replies. By posting one, you let Fairsay store it, show it and share it, for free and anywhere: on Fairsay, in the product's widget and badges on its own website, and in the data search engines and AI assistants read from our pages. That lasts as long as it's on Fairsay. Only post what you have the right to post.
Products on Fairsay
Anyone can look up a website and review it, so a product can have a page and reviews before its makers know. A page isn't run or endorsed by the product's makers until they've verified it; until then it offers a “Claim this app” link. A page's name, description, icon and preview image come from the product's own website.
Running your product's page
- Verifying: only verify a domain you control. If someone else later proves they control it, the page moves to them, and we email you when it does.
- Reviews stay up: you can reply to any review in public, but you can't hide, edit or delete one, whatever its rating. Report a review that breaks the guidelines and we'll look at it.
- Asking for reviews: ask anyone you like. Don't pay or reward people for reviews, ask only the people you expect to be happy, or review your own product.
- Imports: only import store listings for your own product.
- Widget and badges: put them on your own website as we give them to you. Don't change them to show reviews or ratings that aren't on Fairsay.
What you can't do
- Break the law, or help someone else break it.
- Pretend to be someone you aren't, or post someone else's private information.
- Send spam, or post the same thing across many products.
- Try to break into Fairsay, get around its limits, or slow it down for others.
- Copy Fairsay's pages in bulk with automated tools. Search engines indexing our pages are fine.
What we can do
We can take down anything that breaks these terms or the guidelines, and suspend or close accounts that keep breaking them. We can change Fairsay, add or remove features, or stop running it. If we close your account for any other reason, we'll tell you first when we can.
Leaving
You can stop using Fairsay at any time. To have your account deleted, email [email protected] from the address on your account.
What we can't promise
Fairsay is offered as it is. We work to keep it running and correct, but we can't promise it will always be up or free of mistakes. Reviews are the opinions of the people who wrote them, not ours, and we don't check that every one is true.
As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for losses that come from using Fairsay or from what other people post on it, including lost profits, revenue or data. Nothing here takes away rights the law doesn't let us take away.
Changes
When these terms change, the date at the top changes with it. If a change matters, we'll email account holders before it takes effect. Using Fairsay after that means you accept the new terms.
