Privacy
Fairsay is where people review apps and websites, and where the people who make them collect and answer those reviews. This page says what we keep about you, why, who else sees it, and how to have it removed.

What we keep
- Your account: your name, your email, and your password in a scrambled form we can't read back. If you sign in with Google, Google tells us your name, your email and an ID for your Google account. We never see your Google password.
- What you post: reviews, replies, helpful votes and reports.
- Reviews left in a product's widget on another website: the name and email you type in.
- Products you list: the public details of the website (its name, description and icon) and the proof that you own its domain.
- Alerts: if you get review alerts on Telegram, the ID of your chat with our bot.
- Imported reviews: when a product's maker brings in its reviews from the App Store or Product Hunt, we copy those public reviews, with each reviewer's display name.
- Server logs: the requests that reach us, including IP addresses, to keep Fairsay secure, limit spam and fix problems.
Cookies
One cookie keeps you signed in, and one remembers whether the dashboard's sidebar is open. The light or dark look you pick is saved in your browser. There are no advertising or analytics cookies, and nothing follows you to other websites.
What we use it for
To run Fairsay: signing you in, showing reviews, telling makers about new reviews, telling reviewers when a maker replies, and keeping out spam and abuse. We don't sell your information or use it for advertising.
Who else sees it
- Everyone: your reviews and replies are public, with your name. Your email never is.
- The product's owner can see the email you leave with a review in their widget.
- Services that help us run Fairsay: Cloudflare, which every visit passes through; the company that hosts our server and database; Resend, which sends our emails; Google, if you sign in with Google; and Telegram, if you get alerts there. They handle it only to do that job for us.
- Search engines: when a product's page changes, we tell Bing and other search engines its address, and nothing about you.
- The law: if we're legally required to hand something over.
Keeping and deleting it
We keep your account until you ask us to delete it. You can edit your reviews at any time. To delete a review, a reply or your whole account, or to get a copy of what we hold about you, email [email protected] from the address on your account. Deleting your account deletes your reviews and replies with it.
Children
Fairsay isn't for anyone under 13, and we don't knowingly keep their information.
Changes
When this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change matters to how your information is used, we'll email account holders before it takes effect.
